The Broken Male Lead

Why do we love our romances with male leads who are bad, broken, possessive, and, frankly, out of control? This may come as a shocker, but women gravitate towards these bad boys, and I think it has a lot to do with it being fantasy and not real life. Maybe it’s the drama that keeps us intrigued or the mystery, but we can’t seem to get away from these book boyfriends. It’s definitely a toxic relationship.

Rushing Romance

Have you ever read a romance novel with great characters, but their attraction and sexual tension happened a little too quickly? Then after the initial sparks the story fizzles out? I have. Pacing is so important in a romance story. It can make or break it.

Love in the Time of Serial Killers

Love in the Time of Serial Killers by Alicia Thompson made a lot of promises that it didn’t deliver on. I absolutely was swindled by a cute book cover and a professionally written synopsis with “come hither” vibes, but that’s not at all what I received. So buckle in, because I’m about to take ya’ll for a ride down this rambling rabbit hole of a mess Thompson created.

New Inkitt Story: Infectious

Wren Gallagher was among the first to become infected in an effort to save her sister and boyfriend from a destructive virus that turned the world into a wasteland. Rounded up for a government experiment over 4 years later, Wren receives a trial cure to her affliction, but once rehabilitated, she can never leave.

As Above

Get your tea ready because this is going to be a rather interesting book for some of y’all. Julie Mannino’s As Above is an erotic romance novel centered on two males. When I say I read anything and everything, I meant it. It’s certainly evidenced by the books I’ve reviewed in the past on my blog. So, if you’re ready for a tasteful review of this one, buckle in!

The Love Experiment

It’s been awhile since I’ve picked up a romance that’s more on the sweeter side. The Love Experiment by Harper Sinclair is a cute, innocent romance between two seemingly different people, both professionally and personally. Did it work out? I’m here to judge that.

The Scent of a Man – Half Vampire/Half Man (Book 1)

The Scent of a Man by Veralyn Keach was recommended to me during a writer’s lift on Twitter. I try to read books that I wouldn’t normally read to give a variety of reviews and content. This was a paranormal romance that was eerily similar to the plot of Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer. Here’s my honest review.

Kilts and Catnip: The Shrouded Isle Book 1

Who doesn’t want to read book where one of the main characters is a cute cat? As a mother of three cats, I couldn’t refuse. Something fishy is going on around a mysterious island located just off the mainland of Scotland and a widowed mother of two might be the cause for all the shenanigans. Check out my review for Kilts and Catnip by Zoe Tasia.
