While many writers start new novels during this period, some writers (like myself) choose to use this as motivation to finish their WIP or work-in-progress. Whatever your fancy, the goal is still the same – to write!
Rose-Coloured Houses by Cathy Lynn Brooks was a big surprise in a good way. I love historical books and this one didn’t disappoint. Check out my review below!
If you’re an author with a platform on Instagram, also known as Bookstagram to some, then you’ve probably had this happen to you.
Author Julia Goldhirsh weaves a fantastical tale about old wars and magic in her book titled Amy’s Rebellion. Check out my review of this high stakes story.
With the holidays right around the corner, I want to hear your stories! For November and December, I’ll be featuring short stories submitted by new and seasoned authors to be featured on my Author Podcast Show. Keeping in the theme of Spooky Season, we have Jaime Munn’s book, Between Tricks: A Dixie Tricks Novel. This story has a lot more than just vampires and has an interesting premise.
Looking for a good book to read for Halloween? Then look no further than Iseult Murphy’s 7 Weeks in Hell from her Seventh Hell Series. It’s the first book in the series and is probably one of the most captivating takes that I’ve read on this staple Halloween monster – the zombie. Read my full review below to see why.
I had the pleasure of reading the first book in a cozy paranormal mystery series by Jacques Von Kat titled On the Other Side of Alive. Here’s my review of their work.
I love reading poetry books. They’re quick reads that pack such an emotional punch. Much of the poetry that I’ve been introduced to comes from indie authors wanting to share their experiences with the world and they’re generally relatable. As such was my latest read (for a second time.) Check out my review for Tyler Wittkofsky’s Coffee, Alcohol, and Heartbreak: A Poetry Collection.
Looking for a short thriller novel with twists and turns? Check out The Vanished Boy by Harmony Kent. If you’re a Law & Order: SVU fan, then this book may be right up your alley! Check out my book review below to get a feel.
