Introduction to Lauren Eason (Lady Rowan)

Everyone starts off with an obligatory introductory post! So, here’s another one:

My name is Lauren Eason and I’m the face behind these books that you see splattered across this shiny new website that also happens to have my name on it. But have you seen where sometimes my name changes to “Lady Rowan” like with my podcast and instagram handle? It also happens to be my username from a wonderful writing platform known as Inkitt.

So, what’s the deal, you might ask?

Well, when I first started my writing journey, I wanted to get a feel for it all and I thought the best way to do that was to use a pen name of sorts. However, Lady Rowan isn’t just a pen name – it also happens to be my witchcraft name. Yes, you read that right. I’ve been a practicing witch for almost half my life and a lot of my dark fantasy stories are heavily influenced by it (just read my historical fantasy debut novel Witch Trials: Secrets of Loudun.)
