Now that the 4th of July is behind us and the summer is coming to an end, it’s time to usher in the scent of spiced pumpkin lattes and crisp, Autumn leaves. Oh, yes. My favorite season will be gearing up soon and while it’s not quite here yet, I’m already searching Facebook events for the next fall festival or walking ghost tour. I’ve already bookmarked Ghost Adventures on streaming and put scary games on Steam on my wishlist. And of course, I’m looking for that perfect chilling read that’ll keep me up at night.
The Fall season is a fan favorite for many with people already breaking out the Halloween Christmas Tree and spooky decor just waiting for that perfect day. You know the one. The one where it’s more than ten degrees colder and you walk outside on your front porch or balcony and get a little shiver from the cool wind and you have to run inside to grab your house sweater. You eye your ‘It’s fall, y’all’ coffee mug and it brings a little smile to your face because it’s finally true. It’s when you know it’s time to start looking at Halloween stuff because you know the prices are marked up after September 1st.
I could go on and on about Fall, but my blogs are mainly about books, writing, and everything in between so I suppose I’ll hop off the Halloween train for a moment and tell you what’s coming next for spooky season!
Brimstone:
I have all chapters of Brimstone ready for Inkitt. The final chapters should be posted by the end of July. Brimstone is complete at 35 chapters and the entire book can be read for free on my page. It’s the first book in the trilogy and is a dark urban fantasy with elements of romance.
Hellfire:
Hellfire is the sequel to Brimstone and will start posting weekly in August. The book itself is complete but I’m going to go through and give it one more edit to polish it up for you all. It will post regularly throughout the spooky season and should finish up before the end of October. I’ll most likely start by posting two chapters each week on Mondays and Thursdays. If I get ahead like I did with Brimstone, I’ll also post a chapter on Fridays, but that’ll be determined later. This will update on my Inkitt account and will also be free to read for now.
Infectious:
Infectious is my current work-in-progress on Inkitt. I just finished up writing chapter 22. I expect Infectious to wrap up before the end of spooky season. I currently post one chapter a week on Wednesdays. If you’re looking for a dystopian horror with elements of romance, action, and a thriller, this is the one to pick up. Infectious will also be receiving a new cover sometime this season as I’m currently using a ‘working cover’ for it. Stay tuned for that reveal when it comes!
Every Waking Dream:
I don’t want to get too ahead of myself but I hope to release the full book of Every Waking Dream on my Inkitt page to read for free for a limited time. Every Waking Dream is a psychological thriller and is currently available on Amazon and other retailers. I have a tentative date for October, but this is subject to change. Once posted, however, I plan to keep this title free until January 2026 where it will go behind a subscription on my Inkitt page.
Final Installment of the Brimstone Trilogy:
I have plans to write new stories once I’ve completed Infectious, the first of which being the final installment of my Brimstone Trilogy. This will be available to read on my Inkitt page as I’m writing it! As this won’t come to fruition until after Infectious, I don’t have a set date for it yet but I’m hoping to start on it sometime in late October or early November. By then I believe most, if not all, of Hellfire will be available that way readers can pick up right where they left off.
And that, my friends, is a thoroughly full writing schedule for the next 6 months! Brimstone will eventually be released on Amazon and other retailers but I don’t have a date set in mind just yet. When I do, I’ll let y’all know!
